Officers took a 37-year-old woman with a long arrest record into custody for the 16th time after a report of a suspicious person at the Valero Gas on Gallia.
When police detained Erica Mathes, they learned she had an open warrant from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office and booked her into the jail on charges of failure to appear.
It appears officers discovered some type of weapon while searching Mathes as they impounded an item and charged her with illegal conveyance of deadly weapons.
This was Mathes’ 16th trip to the Scioto County Jail. Previous arrests include petty theft, multiple counts of probation violation, criminal trespass, driving under a suspension, failure to restrain a child, trafficking in a counterfeit controlled substance, and failure to appear.
