Woman Arrested For 21st Time

A troubled woman landed behind bars at the Scioto County Jail after a report of a suspicious person on Tuesday evening. 

A caller reported a woman sitting in an alley on Jackson Avenue leaning up a garage. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a woman with a long history of arrests. Officers took the 36-year-old woman into custody for possessing drug abuse instruments. 

This was her 21st time in the Scioto County Jail. Previous arrests include probation violation, theft, contempt, burglary, DUI, illegal conveyance of weapons, petty theft, and railroad trespass. She was released per the court. 

Woman Reports Cyber Tracking

A worried woman contacted police at 9:30 pm to report she received a phone notification that an Apple Air Tag had been tracking her since 6 pm. 

Officers checked her vehicle but did not find any type of device. Police told her to call them if she found any tags and advised her to call Apple Customer Support to see if they could disable the tracking. 

Woman Revived after OD at Four Keys Inn

Officers responded to the Four Keys Inn for what originally appeared to be a domestic disturbance at 4:30 am. Witnesses said that a man was beating a woman. They said when they tried to gain access to the room, the woman sounded muffled and might be under the influence. 

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the woman was overdosing. The Portsmouth Fire Department responded and revived the woman with Narcan before transporting her to the hospital. 

Employees of the hotel warned the male guest to behave himself or face being barred from the hotel.

Woman Barred From Homeless Shelter After Disturbance

A homeless woman is no longer welcome at the 17th Street shelter after an incident on Monday afternoon. 

Just after 5 pm, employees complained a woman was causing a disturbance inside the facility. Police caught up with the woman in the 1600 block of High Street. 

Officers accompanied her back to the shelter to retrieve her belongings and to serve her with a letter stating she was barred. Police then dropped her off at the Oasis Convenient Mart.
