Woman Asks Cops To Handle Break-Up With Live-In Boyfriend

A hospitalized woman asked cops to handle a task most people take care of themselves on Thursday afternoon.

She called the police from her hospital report to say she was afraid a man she’d hired to work for her might steal from her while she was in the hospital. She told police she allowed the man to stay with her for the past few days and that he had a drug problem.

When police pressed her as to why she’d let the man stay with her, she admitted they were in a romantic relationship but still wanted an officer to head to her house and tell him to get out.

When officers arrived at the scene, no one appeared to be home. Neighbors said the man had left shortly after she was hospitalized.

Throwdown at the Taco Bell and other Altercations

Tempers were running high on Thursday, and the police answered the call to handle several disagreements.

Just before 2:30 pm, a Kent Street neighbor said a man and a woman were fighting, and she believed the man was on drugs. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the argument was verbal, and one of the parties left the area to settle down.

Twenty minutes later, a witness reported a man and woman fighting outside the Taco Bell. However, both parties left before the police arrived.

Man Arrested For Assault – Immediately Released

Just after 8 pm, officers were called to the Hudson House Apartments for a report of an assault. A woman was waiting in the lobby to speak to officers.

Police discovered the 62-year-old male suspect was intoxicated and took him into custody on a charge of assault.

He was released per the court shortly afterward. Local courts are under strict guidance by the state to keep as few people in jail as possible.
