Woman Busted For Assaulting Officer & Burglary

A woman with a long rap sheet ended up back behind bars on Friday morning after she allegedly assaulted a police officer during an arrest.

Just after 8 am, an officer was flagged down in the 1300 block of Kendall for a call involving 50-year-old Alice Johnson.

Johnson did not cooperate with police officers and was charged with resisting arrest, assault, obstructing official business, and probation violation, in addition to a burglary charge.

Less than a month ago, PPD officers arrested her on charges of petty theft and probation violation. She spent 22 days in the Scioto County Jail and was just released on Wednesday.

New Boston Police arrested Johnson on a theft charge back in June. Other prior arrests include petty theft, disorderly conduct, contempt, and criminal trespass.

Officers took her to the Scioto County Jail. The court set the bail on the burglary charge at $10,000
