Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies headed to the Briar Patch at 12:25 am, after a woman walked into the store saying she felt unsafe. She asked an employee to use the phone to call her family, but instead called 9-1-1 for help.
When officers arrived on the scene, the woman said she’d smoked something and believed it must have been laced with an unknown substance.
Deputies sent for an ambulance, and medics transported the woman to the hospital for treatment.
A worried dad called 9-1-1 later in the day after his daughter came home high on drugs. Officers responded to the scene and advised the man that they could not force his daughter to go to rehab.
A deputy spoke with the daughter, who said she did not want help and did not want to go to a hospital.
