The Scioto County Coroner is investigating after a 44-year-old woman was found dead in Franklin Furnace.

Officers and EMS responded to a report of a possibly deceased woman around 8:15 am. Medics from the Porter Township Rescue Squad confirmed that the woman was deceased.
Deputies called in the Scioto County Coroner’s Office and began an investigation. The Scioto County Coroner took possession of the deceased.
