Officers held a woman at gunpoint after a report of a burglary in progress on Grant Street just after 11 pm.

A man said a woman broke into his house and was causing a disturbance. He said the woman had threatened to stab him earlier in the day.

When officers arrived, they ordered the woman out of the house at gunpoint and detained her on suspicion of burglary.

The man admitted he’d allowed the woman into the house previously and told officers he didn’t want to press charges; he just wanted the woman to get some help.
