Deputies responded to a very tense situation. At 11 pm, a woman contacted police to say her mother was holding a knife and threatening suicide.
She was especially worried about the situation because there was a toddler in the house.
Despite her best efforts, she couldn’t talk her mom into giving up the knife. The Scioto County Sheriff’s Department arrived and helped to safely de-escalate the situation.
Once the scene was determined to be safe, an ambulance transported the mom to the hospital.
