Woman Indicted for DUI, Drugs, Endangering Children

A 35-year-old Portsmouth woman is in some big trouble for endangering kids and driving under the influence.

The Scioto County Grand Jury returned indictments against Lisa Newman for aggravated vehicular assault, endangering children, and operating a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance.

She’s also charged with aggravated possession of drugs, possession of heroin, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Newman was initially arrested on the charges back on April 8.

But Newman wasn’t the only driver in trouble for operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs. The Grand Jury also indicted Jason Rawlins, 49, of South Webster for aggravated vehicular assault and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance.
