A Wheelersburg woman contacted 9-1-1 at 2 pm and asked that a deputy come out and make her husband leave the home because he was being an asshole.
Officers explained that they couldn’t make the man leave unless he did something wrong. She explained that she paid the bills and wanted him to leave. Officers explained they couldn’t arrest the man unless he broke a law.
A few moments later, the woman’s mother called back and demanded to know why officers refused to help her. Dispatch asked if there were any previous incidents of crimes or violence, and the mom admitted that there had been no previous calls to police. She asked if an officer could head to the home to speak to her daughter.
Deputies went to the scene and discovered the pair were having a verbal altercation, and no threats were made. The husband said he would leave with a friend.
