Officers responded to the Quality Inn after a woman called 9-1-1 to report a harrowing incident. She claimed the front desk let two individuals into her room, and they tied her down with sheets.
She said she passed out but managed to get herself free. After speaking with other law enforcement agencies, the Sheriff’s Office determined the woman could be suffering a mental health crisis and contacted Adult Protective Services to intervene.
APS advised the officers they had been attempting to go through the courts to commit the woman but did not have a decision yet.
She refused offers to transport her to the hospital and since the woman was non-violent, they left her at the hotel.
