A woman contacted Portsmouth Police Officers to make a troubling complaint about a visit to her doctor.
The woman said she felt her chiropractor did” inappropriate things to her” during a visit to the office.
Officers took information for a report.
Due to the ongoing investigation, the chiropractor’s name will not be released.
Growling Man Found In the Middle of The Road
Employees of a local rehab facility made an unusual discovery in the middle of 4th Street. They contacted Portsmouth Police just before noon to report they found a man in the middle of the street acting very strangely.
They described the man as growling and thrashing around, and were pretty sure he was under the influence of some unknown substance. Employees took him into a conference room for his own safety. Officers assisted at the scene and called for an EMS unit to transport the man to the hospital.
Another report of bizarre behavior in the streets came in about two hours later. A Jackson Street caller reported a barefoot woman walking in the middle of the road. They said she had been screaming and rolling around on the ground.
Officers were unable to locate her.
Woman Confuses Police For Uber
Officers tried to lend a hand to a woman they encountered at 8th and Harmon. She had multiple blisters on her feet, so officers called for an ambulance.
The woman became angry and argumentative with ambulance personnel. She said she did not want medical treatment; she only wanted a ride.
Officers explained that they aren’t a taxi service, and she became angry and walked away without treatment.
