A woman called 911 just before 1 pm to report a man had beaten her and tried to set her on fire. She said she had escaped to a neighbor’s house.

The officer headed to the scene and spoke to both the woman and her alleged attacker. However, they said the two parties had conflicting stories, and no one wanted to file a police report.
