Woman Says Thieves Forced Her to Sign Her Car Over

A woman contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office at 10 pm to report a bizarre car theft.  

She said car thieves forced her to drive her vehicle from Jackson to Scioto County and forced her to sign the title over to them.  

The woman said it was all because her boyfriend owed them money. She said the incident happened back on March 13, and she’d unsuccessfully attempted to get the thieves to return her vehicle.  

The woman thought the vehicle might be on Jacobs Cemetery Road. Officers took information for a report.  

Thieves Hit Rural King

Thieves hit the Rural King in New Boston just after 6 am. Officers received a report of someone driving a White Chevy extended cab truck loading wheelbarrows and plastic containers from the store into the back.  

When a deputy spoke with an employee, they confirmed that someone had cut a lock and that wheelbarrows were missing.  

Officers took information for a report.  

Crook Makes Off with Title & Registration After Truck Break-In 

A Hayport Road caller contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report that someone broke into his truck and stole the title and registration. 

The man said he had already contacted the DMV to report the issue. However, since the DMV did not require a police report, the man declined to file one.
