A woman who said she was kicked out of public housing got even by tossing some trash around on Saturday morning.
Around 8:22 am, witnesses reported two people in the dumpsters on Wayne Avenue were throwing garbage all over the place.
Police detained a woman who admitted she knowingly trespassed on a fenced-in area, climbed into the dumpsters, and began throwing trash around.
She refused to clean up the mess because she said PMHA had kicked her out.
Officers contacted PMHA, and they eventually released the woman.
Shoplifters Refuse to Leave Store
Later that evening, a shirtless man caused a stir at the Dollar General on Gallia when he refused to leave the premises when asked. However, he left the scene when the police arrived.
An employee of CVS on 11th called police at 8:30 pm to report that a woman who had shoplifted previously was back in the store. However, she left before officers arrived at the scene.
On Sunday evening, the Family Dollar Store contacted police to report a man in the store who refused to leave. Employees said they caught him attempting to steal. Officers issued a no trespass order and told him not to return.
Rollover on Robinson Avenue – Not Enough Ambulances
Officers and medics responded to the scene after a rollover accident with entrapment happened on Robinson Avenue just after 4 pm.
Ambulances were dispatched for the victims, but an officer had to transport one of the injured to the hospital since there wasn’t a squad available to help immediately.
Officers obtained statements and took pictures for a report, and AEP dispatched a crew to fix damaged power lines.
