Woman With Baseball Bat Makes Threats on Main Street 

Just before 4 pm, deputies responded to a Main Street home for a report of a woman with a baseball bat making threats. 

When deputies arrived on the scene, the resident said two women, one of them armed with a bat, showed up at her house, but she refused to allow them in since her boyfriend was in the hospital. 

She said the women argued with her about her right to be in the home before leaving the scene. Officers took information for a report and explained the process of getting a protection order. 

Woman Hits the Road in Motorized Kroger Cart 

Officers responded to Ohio River Road just before 2 pm after a caller reported a woman riding a motorized Kroger shopping buggy in the middle of Ohio River Road. 

When officers caught up with the woman, they determined she was confused and unsure of how she got there.  

Officers were able to contact her granddaughter, who came to pick her up. Deputies returned the shopping cart to Kroger. 

Woman Arrested After Caller Reports SUV Break-In at Dash Thru 

Officer responded to the Dash Thru on Gallia at 3 am after a caller reported a man and a woman attempting to break into an SUV on the lot.  

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a woman with an open warrant and took her into custody for failure to appear.  

Drunk Mom Reports Son Missing 

A call from a West Virginia mom sent officers on the hunt for an allegedly missing man just after 9 am. The woman told police she hadn’t heard from her son in three weeks and was concerned for his welfare. 

When police responded to the address she gave them, the resident said the man did not live there, and he’d never heard of him.  

Police finally located the man two hours later. He told them his mother was drunk and had been causing issues in the family, which is why he didn’t want to talk to her.  

Wanted Woman Busted at Four Keys Inn 

Just before 4:30 pm, an employee of the Four Keys Inn contacted the police to report that a wanted woman was staying in a room at the hotel.  

Officers took the woman into custody on several open warrants, but determined she required an ambulance. An ambulance transported her to the hospital.  

Taylor Henry, 29, was released from the hospital the next day and booked into the Scioto County Jail on charges of Theft, DUI, obstructing official business, drug possession, and being a fugitive from justice.  

This was her seventh trip to the Scioto County Jail. Previous charges included receiving stolen property, escape, criminal damaging, possession of heroin, receiving stolen property, and petty theft.
