Deputies dealt with several drug-related issues, including a work-release inmate who overdosed.
The first incident of the day happened when EMS personnel responded to a report of an overdosed man in Franklin Furnace just before 1 am. By the time a rescue squad arrived at the scene, the family said the man had already been transported to the ER.
Just before 7 am, a caller reported a man and woman slumped over in a vehicle parked in the fire lane at the Wheelersburg Kroger.

At 4 pm, deputies responded to the Scioto Trail and Coles Blvd to pick up two inmates who were on work release. One of the inmates had overdosed. A deputy followed an ambulance with the overdose victim inside to SOMC.
