Young Male Shot: Shooter Calls 911 on Himself

At this time, criminal investigations are underway. Further details will be posted when they become available.

Currently, we are able to report the following.

About 7:45 pm on Friday, a caller to 911 reported shooting another man on Sedan Crabtree Rd in Morgan Township, Lucasville, Ohio.

In initial reports, the man came home to find the other male arguing with his mother. In fact, he admitted to having shot the young man. It is still very early in the investigation, so we will withhold both the shooter’s and victim’s names.

Following this, several people seated the victim in a car in order to (presumably) transport him to the hospital. The vehicle stopped at the rest area at the intersection of Rt.348 and U.S. 23.

A request was made that park and ride needed to have crowd control while emergency personnel was actively working the scene. In addition, a deputy was also sent to the residence of Sedan Crabtree.

It was determined that there were possibly three people in the car at the park and ride.

Scioto County Sheriff’s deputies towed at least one vehicle for forensic examination.

Currently, Scioto County Detectives are holding at least 3 individuals for questioning.

Until the Sheriff’s office confirms the condition of the victim, we will refrain from sharing that information.
