It was an insane afternoon on Thursday at the Columbus Zoo, after not one, but two, guests hopped the fence to get into the cheetah enclosure.

According to officials, just after noon, a zoo staff member noticed a teenager in a tree behind the protective barrier of the Heart of Africa Watering Hole exhibit.  Employees made a safety announcement telling the teen to get out of the tree.

Around the same time, another man climbed over the 42-inch high protective barrier at the exhibit and fell 15 feet behind a safety barrier.

Adrienne, a cheetah who was at the watering hole with her trainer when the man fell, noticed the intruder but stayed with her trainer and was immediately secured.

Zoo EMS responded and transported the man to the hospital.
