Zsailynn Amari Dwain Conley, the 4-year-old son of Ashley Nicole Trent and Benjamin Dwayne Conley of Portsmouth, died in the arms of his mother on Sunday, June 12, 2022, outside their home in Portsmouth. Zsailynn was born on March 8, 2018, in Columbus and he immediately became the light of his parents’ lives.
A darling little boy with a tender heart, “Zsae Zsae” was always giving to others and helping his mommy around the house with baking, cooking and chores. He recently learned to ride his bike and he liked dinosaurs, Sonic the Hedgehog, Legos, and playing with cars. He attended Village Roots Child Care Center in New Boston, where he and his many friends loved doing arts & crafts. Zsailynn was also a first-class prankster, and his favorite targets were his parents, whom, despite the pranks, he loved fiercely.
Zsailynn is survived by his parents, Ashley and Ben; two siblings, Jaxson Chase Bryant and Zoey Alexus Bryant of Jacksonville, NC; a special cousin who was like a sister, Keyaira Craft of Wheelersburg; paternal grandmother, his Nana, Juetta Conley of Wheelersburg; maternal grandmother, Callie Sue Bennett of West Liberty, KY; maternal grandparents, Charles Adam & Melanie Gail Trent of Wellington, KY; maternal great-grandmother, Jan Little of Wellington, KY; his very special Papaw, Gene Porter of Portsmouth; Joan Jones, who was like a grandma, and her daughter Alexis of Sciotoville; his aunt, Stephanie Conley; and uncles Nick Conley & Michael Burk and Ethan Adkins; and his cousins and many friends.
A Celebration of Zsailynn’s Life will be held Friday at 11 A.M. at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Bishop Harold Bell and Pastor Daryl Nickles officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M. and one hour prior to services Friday.
