$1 Million Treasure Hunt in Michigan? Johnny Perri is a jeweler from Macomb County, Michigan who recently made the decision to clear out his jewelry store’s shelves after many months of COVID-19 related hardships, but instead of selling off his jewelry in order to retire, he chose to hide the treasure all across Michigan and provide maps to the treasure on social media.

On Johnny’s website, interested adventurers can pay the fifty dollar registration fee in exchange for access to a specific quest. Each quest goes live at a different time, and when this happens various clues, riddles, and maps will be released to help participants find the treasure.

Once a piece of treasure is found, adventurers can either choose to keep whatever they found or have Perri buy it back from them for an estimated value. Items are usually valued at over one thousand dollars, making them a worthy investment for whoever can find them.

Perri stated that he was inspired to bury his treasure while taking outdoor adventures with his wife, Amy. He realized that this could serve as an alternative retirement plan, while also bringing joy and excitement to prospective treasure hunters.

Perri also warned that he and his wife hid most of the treasure in nature, so the odds of finding some of his bounties out on a street corner is pretty slim. He also clued that “X will always mark the spot”.

Do you think you have what it takes to hunt down this treasure? If so, you can register for the next adventure on Johnny’s website.
