5 Kids at Scene of Overdose – Stolen Gun Recovered
CPS removed five children from a Wayne Hills Apartment after an overdose on Wednesday morning.
Just before 10 am, officers and medics responded to a report of an unresponsive woman who had overdosed.
First responders administered two doses of Narcan, but the woman was still unresponsive. There were five children at the home, so police immediately contacted CPS, who sent a worker to take charge of the children.
Police said a man at the home refused to allow police to fingerprint him or take a DNA sample. Additionally, officers discovered a stolen gun and digital scales in the apartment.
PPD took the man into custody and booked him into the Scioto County Jail on charges of receiving stolen property, possessing weapons under a disability, and contempt. This was his ninth visit to the jail. Previous arrests included tampering with evidence, drug possession, multiple weapons charges, and domestic violence.
