Portsmouth, Ohio-
Police answered a call to York Park just after midnight. A man said two other men were arguing with him and he wasn’t sure why. Officers spoke to a man and stood by with him until a friend arrived to drive him home.
At 2 am, officers were called back to a unit in the Woodbine Apartments that they’d handled a disturbance at the previous afternoon. Residents complained a man was standing in front of their window and bothering them. Police could not locate him.
An officer spotted a man writing on a piece of heavy equipment with a crayon on Lawson Street just before 3 am. Police advised him that if anyone complains about the damage, he will be arrested.
At 6:30 am, a Robinson Avenue caller complained about a neighbor putting furniture in her yard and going on her property at night. Police advised him to stay off her property or face criminal trespass charges.
Just before 8 am, police answered a report of people inside a condemned house on Broadway. The people told officers they didn’t know the property was condemned.
An 8th Street caller reported a burglary in progress at 8:36 am. A man was on the back porch attempting to get in.
Police discovered an intoxicated man had fallen, cutting his lip. EMTs determined he didn’t need medical attention. His mom took him home.
At 5:38 pm, a Summit Street caller reported a man exposing himself on Summit Street. Three units responded and discovered the guy had overdosed.
Officers called an ambulance and it transported the man to SOMC.
Loan Office Confidential
Police responded to a bizarre complaint at a loan office just after 4 pm. A woman claimed she broke up with a man over the phone earlier in the day and that he and a friend went to the loan officers to tell employees not to accept her money because it was stolen.
She told police the man’s friend was going through a sex change operation and that he was afraid she’d tell everyone about it. The woman claimed loan officers were terrified of the visitors. The loan officers said they were fine and that no one frightened them.
