President Joe Biden Wants To Knock on Doors and Force Vaccinations
A top priority of the Biden administration is getting Americans vaccinated. One of his first goals was to vaccinate 100 million people in the first 100 days, but the more ambitious goal of vaccinating 70% of Americans by July 4 fell short.
To get vaccines to the remaining people, Biden says, “we have to go village-by-village, neighborhood-by-neighborhood, and sometimes door-to-door — literally knock on doors.”
Last Sunday, the West Virginia Governor and close friend of Donald Trump, Jim Justice made some comments that were way off the political script.
As part of a discussion about ways to encourage vaccination, the governor said this.
“Maybe what you got to do is lead them to water — and then if they won’t drink — you’ve got to just, some way, stand up and push their head down to some way — at least a few will drink and that’s what we got to do.”
In fact, West Virginia’s governor actually jokingly mentioned illegal wartime torture. The fact that “at least a few will drink” indicates that a certain percentage of people will avoid the “death lottery” once they are made so uncomfortable by the government.
West Virginia is currently offering prizes and incentives for getting vaccinated. You can win money, scholarships, lifetime hunting, and fishing licenses, and even guns. It’s true, you can win guns in West Virginia. These are not just any old guns, but custom-made rifles and shotguns.
Representative Madison Cawthorn, a freshman Republican from North Carolina, said that the Biden door-to-door vaccine program could eventually target guns and Bibles as well.
