Employee Overdoses at Savory Foods
Police and EMS personnel responded to Savory Foods on 6th Street at 7 pm after a report that an employee had overdosed in the break room. The man refused medical treatment. Officers took him into custody.
Just after 11 pm, police and EMS responded to Kendall Avenue after a report of an overdose. Fortunately, neighbors were able to revive the man with Narcan. He refused medical treatment.
Officers Return Passed-Out Man to Grandma’s House
Officers came to the aid of a man in distress just after 10 pm on Friday. A good Samaritan reported spotting an injured or passed-out man in an alley and offered to lead officers and medics to the victim.
Police and medics checked out the man, who refused treatment. However, he did accept a ride to his grandmother’s apartment, and she took him to her room.
Man Runs Into Traffic at 9th and Gay
Police responded to a report of a man running in and out of traffic at 9th and Gay Streets just before 6:30 pm.
Police took the man into custody and then decided an ambulance was needed.
Portsmouth ambulance transported the man to SOMC.
