Strange Scene on Lawson Street – Should Police Have Gone Inside?
Deputies decided not to enter a home despite some suspicious circumstances.
A Lawson Street neighbor was concerned after she saw the front door of the house across the street standing open and the neighbor’s dogs running around the yard.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they noticed the door was open, and the dogs were loose in the yard. The resident’s truck was parked in the driveway, but no one responded when the officer called into the house.
The officer didn’t see or smell anything strange, so they felt there was no cause to go inside. They ushered the dogs back into the house and shut the door.
