Stepfather Stabbed – Officers Search For Juvenile Suspect
The Portsmouth Police Department responded to a request for mutual aid from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office in the wee hours of Friday morning.
Just after 12:30 am, they were called in to assist in a search near the Sciotoville area after a juvenile allegedly stabbed his stepfather and then fled out the back door when deputies arrived on the scene.
Portsmouth officers took a description and kept an eye out for the suspect.
Boozing Teens Pee in Taco Bell Drive Thru
A group of boozing teens caused a commotion early Saturday morning.
Just after 2:30 am, a caller reported a silver pickup with multiple young males drinking from open containers on 11th Street.
Shortly afterward, a call came in to report the same boys were peeing in the Taco Bell Drive Thru.
Police caught up with the vehicle at Wayne and Thomas Avenues and took an 18-year-old into custody for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and disorderly conduct.
Police contacted the parents of the juvenile in the vehicle and met up with them at Speedway to drop the boy off.
