Child Revives Overdose Victim With Narcan
A quick-thinking child revived an overdose victim on Jackson Avenue Friday night. Just before 9 pm, officers responded to a report of an overdose.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered the oldest child in the home had administered two doses of Narcan to the man.
The man refused additional medical attention. Officers contacted CPS and also discovered that there was an open warrant for the an in Adams County.
Police transported the man to the county line and handed him over to an Adam’s County Deputy.
CPS workers investigated and determined that the man should not be allowed the home or near the children.
Teen Calls Cops on Out-of-Control Stepdad
A teenager contacted officers just before 9 pm to report their stepfather was out of control. The teen said the man was drunk and had thrown a glass vase at the teen’s mom and assaulted a 15-year-old in the house before fleeing the scene.
Police caught up with the man near OSCO. However, the woman refused to cooperate and said she just wanted the man to leave for the night. Officers suggested the woman consider getting a protection order.
