Shooting Threat Reported in Franklin Furnace
A Franklin Furnace Man contacted officers at 4:45 pm to report that a child had threatened to shoot her child and another friend while they were playing.
She said the child mentioned getting a gun, and she was concerned about the exchange. She didn’t think the threat was serious and said there had been ongoing friction between her child and the child making the threat.
Another parent contacted police at 6:11 pm to report two people rolled up in Jeep and threatened to rip his son’s head off. Officers said the man was very angry.
He claimed the threat was a result of an accusation that his son used a slur at a ball field recently. The man said that was ridiculous because their family did not use that kind of language.
