Confused Woman Calls Cops 9 Times
A confused woman contacted deputies multiple times over the weekend. The first 911 hang-up call came in at 2 pm on Thursday. When officers called back, she claimed the “people in the attic” had called police. The woman has a history of mental health issues, so officers asked her to request that the attic people not call back.
At 10:45 pm on Thursday, 911 received two calls of a voice recording from the same address saying “I need help.” Officers contacted the woman’s niece who is supposed to be looking after her. She said her aunt was fine, but had accidentally pushed the life alert button in her pocket multiple times.
At 5 am on Friday, the woman contacted 911 to report she had smoke in her house and she thought there was a fire in the attic. Dispatch advised her to go outside and contacted the fire department. The woman then said the smoke went away, but it had been bad earlier. Dispatch contacted the niece who confirmed that there was no fire.
There was another 911 hangup at 7 am on Friday, but when dispatch called back, the woman said everything was fine.
At 6:30 pm, dispatch received another recorded message asking for help. Once again the woman had pressed her life alert button. Officers determined everything was fine.
At 1 pm on Saturday, another recorded call for help came into 911. Officers checked back and determined everything was fine.
