1. Man Attacks Speedeemart Workers
At 11 am, deputies responded to the Speedeemart on Center Street in Wheelersburg after employees said a man had been harassing employees for several weeks.
He reportedly harassed the midnight shift and came back in the morning for more. The man threw a can of pop into the store, and it exploded everywhere.
Officers headed to the store to explain the options management had for dealing with the issue.
2. Multiple Car Break-Ins Reported Overnight
More cases of thieves busting out car windows.
At 9:30 am, a caller parked near the Portsmouth Post Office reported their window broken and their purse missing. Gone from the vehicle was a purse, a tablet, cash, Ohio ID and Social Security card. Officers took information for a report.
At 1 pm, a Front Street caller also reported a vehicle break-in. They said $50 in change and $300 in gift cards were missing from the vehicle.
At 7:30 am the next day, a 17th Street caller reported someone broke into their vehicle overnight and stole several items. The thief made off with a password book, clothing, shoes, and jewelry.
Just before 9 am, the Goodwill on Robinson Avenue reported that someone had ransacked a truck and left items strewn around the property.
