The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic motorcycle crash that occurred on SR 823, just south of US 23.
The operator of a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle, Todd White, 57 years old and hailing from London, Ohio, was traveling southbound on SR 823, navigating a left curve. Mr. White veered off the right side of the road and collided with a guardrail.
Following the crash, he was rushed to Southern Ohio Medical Center, where, unfortunately, he succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident.
Mr. White was part of a group of motorcyclists during the incident, with no other motorcycles being involved in the crash. Wearing a helmet, Mr. White was adhering to safety precautions. It has been determined that speed was not a contributing factor in the crash.
During the response and investigation, troopers received assistance from Valley Township EMS and VFD.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
