Officers took a man into custody after a disturbing report of a gun threat with shots fired in Clay Township.
Just after 7 p.m., a woman said she’d stopped by her ex-fiancé’s home on Sherralou Drive to pick up some property when things went very wrong.
The woman said despite the fact that she had permission to get her things, her fiancé’s father showed up and pointed a gun at her.
He then fired a shot in the air before returning to his home on Hinkley Hollow Road.
Deputies interviewed the woman and took the man into custody. They transported Joe Mudhenk to the Scioto County Jail and charged him with two counts of aggravated menacing and with assault.
