A frustrated homeowner contacted police to report that several homeless family members kept dumping their stuff in his yard. He said they continually dumpster-dive and bring the items to his home.
The pair left before the police arrived, but the officer explained to the man that he could file a protection order against the pair to bar them from his property.
City Service Clears Homeless Camp From Levee
Portsmouth Police responded to complaints of a homeless camp set up on the levee near Market Street just after noon.

Officers contacted Portsmouth City Services about cleaning up a pile of trash and other debris left behind by the campers. However, by the time officers arrived all of the campers had cleared out.
Police cleared the area.
