New Boston Officers requested help from Portsmouth Police and Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies after an armed suspect took off after an early morning traffic stop.
NBPD called for assistance just after 5 am. They said an officer conducted a felony traffic stop and the suspect jumped out of the vehicle and ran off in the area of Milldale and Basham. The officers said the suspect was armed.

Portsmouth officers assisted in the search and deployed a drone to aid in the effort. SCSO Deputies blocked traffic near Dunlap Road during the search.
NBPD was unable to locate the suspect, for the time being.
