He was already in hot water, but now Carson Craft is drowning in legal trouble! The 45-year-old Sciotoville man, who was indicted last November for robbing, abducting, and strangling a woman, is now facing a fresh stack of charges—including drug trafficking, stolen property possession, and illegal weapons violations.
According to court documents, Craft allegedly attacked and abducted a woman in early November, leaving her with serious injuries. But that wasn’t his first run-in with the law—he had already been arrested for drug trafficking and was previously charged with possessing a weapon under disability.
Despite the serious allegations, the court declared Craft indigent and appointed attorney Marc May to defend him. He pleaded not guilty, and his bond was set at just $7,500. By December 30, Craft was back on the streets after posting bond—but his freedom didn’t last long.
On January 10, when he was supposed to appear in court, Craft pulled a disappearing act. The judge issued an arrest warrant and scheduled a pretrial hearing for February 4. That’s when the law finally caught up with him—officers arrested him at 5:30 p.m. and hit him with contempt of court and violating a court directive.
With a growing rap sheet and a history of skipping court dates, will Craft finally be held accountable? Or will he slip through the cracks again? Stay tuned as this case unfolds!
