Sharp-eyed High Street neighbors helped Portsmouth Police find a man wanted on drug trafficking charges.
Witnesses contacted police just before 4 pm to say they saw a man in a tank top go into a vacant home.
When officers responded to the scene, they found a man and a woman on the scene. Police warned the woman not to return to the property and sent her on the way.
However, police took the man, Christopher Conley, 39, into custody on charges of aggravated trafficking. The Scioto County Prosecutor charged Conley back on April 26 for aggravated trafficking in drugs, trafficking in fentanyl-related compounds, aggravated possession of drugs, and possession of a fentanyl-related compound.
This is Conley’s 15th arrest. He is currently housed in the Scioto County Jail and is due in court on May 18.
