Angry Homeowner Pulls Gun in Dispute With Workers
An unhappy homeowner held roofers at gunpoint after a dispute over work on his Dunlap Road home.
Just before 6 pm, an angry man called to complain about the workers on his roof. When police arrived on the scene, they said the man was irate, screaming, and had a gun in his hand.
When police arrived, he put the weapon away, but kept screaming at two men on his roof, demanding that police arrest them.
Officers spoke to the men’s supervisor, who said they were hired by the angry homeowner to remove a chimney at that home.
The man was angry because the workers removed a small piece of the roof to color-match with the metal they were going to cover the hole in the roof with.
The angry homeowner told the officer that since he was not a roofer or contractor, he didn’t know what he was talking about. Additionally, he complained that the workers were “not from this country.”
Officers told him he should take the matter up civilly with the company. Police sent the two workers on their way.
