Breakfast time at Bob Evans got a little scary on Saturday morning. A caller reported two suspicious men on bicycles near the dumpster to the restaurant.
The witness said one of the men was wearing a blue mask and was armed. The caller said the man had a gun in his waistband and kept pulling it out.
Officers responded to the scene around 9:15 am and took information for a report.
Police Investigate Gun/ Bat Threats
Officers were called out to investigate two reports of threats with weapons in 20 minutes on Saturday.
At 5:30 pm, a woman said her ex-boyfriend was walking down Vinton and waving a handgun in front of her. She said he then left to go visit a friend who’d just got out of prison. Officers searched the area but couldn’t locate him.
Just a few minutes later, a Valley Street woman said a man with a baseball bat was tearing up her property and threatening to damage her car. She said he left the area and was headed toward New Boston.
