An Ashland taxi driver who was stabbed multiple times in the head and chest was violently assaulted and stabbed in the parking lot of the Bruce Apartments in Ashland. A customer attacked the driver and stole cash.
Because of the extent of the multiple wounds, the victim was flown to the hospital for critical care. The condition of the victim is stable.
A Criminal Investigations Section (CIS) team was called to the scene, where they continued to speak with witnesses and process evidence. Paul D. Gower (20 years old) of Ashland was identified by the Field Operations Section and CIS. Gower fled the scene and he has not been located. He is considered armed and dangerous and has a warrant for Attempted Murder and Robbery 1st Degree.
