Barbara Ann Douglas, 82, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020, at her residence. Barbara was born May 19, 1937, in Lawrence County; a daughter of the late Henry and Sarah (Anderson) Cripple. She was also preceded in death by her husband James A. Douglas whom she married May 18, 1956.
Barbara was a graduate of Dawson Bryant and worked as a Dietician at the Lawrence County General Hospital. She enjoyed fishing, working puzzles, and playing cards with her girlfriends. Barbara loved spending time with friends and family.

a son: James A. Douglas
three sisters and four brothers
Barbara is survived by:
a son: Henry (Dixie) Douglas of Coal Grove
seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Monday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 South 6th Street, Ironton, Ohio with Rev. Jim Beals officiating. Burial will follow at Zoar Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 6, 2020, at 10:00 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home.
