Multiple domestic situations spun out of control, leaving bloody floors and damaged walls in Lawrence County homes.
When deputies responded to one home, they found a man with a bruised face, bleeding from his mouth, ear, nose, and eye. A witness said the man was drinking with friends when one of them started acting crazy and punching him in the face.
Officers noted blood all over the kitchen floor and called for an ambulance. Officers photographed the victim and the bloody floor. An ambulance took the man to the hospital. However, the suspect left before police arrived.
Two hours later, officers responded to Chesapeake after a woman said her boyfriend was drunk and destroying their home. She said she was trying to get some belongings together to leave, and he’d hit and kicked her to prevent her from leaving.
When she was able to contact 911, the man was walking around the house, punching and kicking holes in the drywall and trashing the place. He left before officers arrived.
