Bloody Man Appears at Holiday Inn 

Just after 1:30 am, an employee of the Holiday Inn contacted PPD to report that a bloody man who appeared to be the victim of an assault turned up at the hotel. 

Dispatch sent an ambulance and officers to the scene. They learned the man was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed at 11th and Chillicothe half an hour earlier.  

An ambulance transported the man to the hospital.  

Drugs Discovered in Gazebo 

Just before noon, a resident of Portsmouth Senior Lofts contacted officers to report that they had discovered a “bunch of drugs” in the gazebo. Officers responded to the scene and impounded the suspected drugs. 

Pit Bull Attack on Hutchins Street 

Just before noon, a caller reported that a brown and red pit bull attempted to bite them in the 1700 block of Hutchins.  

An officer picked up the dog and dropped it off at the kennel at the impound lot. They notified the Dog Warden where to pick up the animal.
