Officials have finally identified the body discovered last spring in a burned-out car found on a country road.
Back on March 31st, Kentucky State Police, responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Saw Pit Road in Greenup County.
Officers discovered skeletal remains, which they sent to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office is Frankfort for an autopsy and DNA tests.
Tests confirmed the body belonged to 47-year-old Stacy L. Meenach, whom authorities say lived in Greenup County.
However, police say they are not releasing the cause of death due to an ongoing investigation.
In new details uncovered exclusively by SCDN, Meenach had posted on social media in early March that she was in search of an affordable place to live and was taking suggestions. At the time, she said, “I’m not being picky at this point. Anywhere will do.”
Her last public post was four days before the body was discovered in the vehicle.
