The after-school drama didn’t end when the bus engine shut off — Portsmouth Police were called to two separate reports of kids being assaulted on school buses Tuesday.
✋ Hoodie Grab Turns Into Face-Full of Water on Linden Avenue
Officers responded to Linden Avenue after a girl reported a boy assaulted her when they got off the bus.
Here’s what police pieced together:
- The two started arguing on the bus
- The girl said she slapped the boy because he grabbed her hoodie
- The boy admitted he threw water in her face once they got home
Both kids were spoken to, and their grandmother — the guardian — told officers she would handle discipline. She also noted both children were set to start counseling at school.
Police will notify the school resource officer to follow up.
😡 Six-Year-Old Hurt in Second Bus Fight
Then around 5:30 p.m., officers were called to a Kendall Avenue apartment where a parent reported their 6-year-old was assaulted on the bus earlier that day.
Police are continuing to review both cases with school staff involvement.
💬 School may be back in session — but so are the lessons in conflict resolution. Parents are urged to talk to kids about keeping their hands to themselves.
