Charlotte Ann Howes McNelly, 85, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 18, 2024, at The Courtyard in Wheelersburg, Ohio. She was born November 21, 1938, in Sarah Ann W.Va. and the daughter of the late Jennings Harvey Howes and Grace Miller Howes. She was married to James Arthur McNelly, who preceded her in death April 5, 2004. She is the great-granddaughter of the famed feudist (Devil Anse) Anderson and his wife Levicy Hatfield.
She is survived by her loving children Julie (Steve) Conley, Wheelersburg, Ohio; James (Leila) McNelly, Beavercreek, Ohio; Todd (Tina) McNelly, Xenia, Ohio; Brian (Rhonda) McNelly, Douglass, Kansas; her grandchildren, Sarah (Andrew) Ralstin of Wheelersburg, Ohio; Andrew (Lauren) Conley, of Galena, Ohio; Christopher McNelly, Beavercreek, Ohio; Andy (Chelsea) McNelly, Dayton, Ohio; Mary McNelly, Beavercreek, Ohio; Felicity (Mike) Grabau, Parker, Colorado; Garreth McNelly, Beavercreek, Ohio; Nina McNelly, Manhattan, Kansas; Brian McNelly II, Honolulu, Hawaii; Elliot (Marissa) McNelly, Derby Kansas; Avery (Daphne) McNelly, Manhattan, Kansas; Faith (Josh) Monteith, Douglass, Kansas; and 18 great grandchildren, Logan Ralstin, Charlotte Ralstin and Everly Ralstin; Cece Conley, Lola Conley and Duke Conley; Lazarus McNelly, Max McNelly and Sydney McNelly; Lily Grabau, Claire Grabau and Lucas Grabau; Gwyn McNelly, Rowan McNelly and Heidi McNelly; Bayla Kline, Emmett McNelly, Jackson Montieth. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen Matherly, of Butler, Tennessee;
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Joe Jennings, and his wife, Jane Howes, sisters Betty Jane Cox and Frances Willis, and brother, Mike Howes.
Funeral services will be held at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME, 11901 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, Ohio, on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Elder Brian Enz officiating, burial to follow at South Webster cemetery.
