A concerned grandpa contacted PPD at 3:12 pm to report a 17-year-old boy pushed his 13-year-old grandson off his bike and then stole the bike on Gallia Street.
Officers headed to the 3rd Street home of the suspect scene and recovered the stolen bike, then returned it to its rightful owner.
The family said that since they had the bike back, they would not press charges against the teen.
Elderly Man Goes Missing, Returns Injured
Just after 7:30 am, worried family members contacted Portsmouth Police Officers to report a man with dementia had left his house sometime during the night and taken his truck.
They later contacted officers to report that he’d been located in West Portsmouth.
Just before 10 am, family members called EMS to report the man had several cuts and bruises and a possible broken rib.
The man told first responders he fell getting out of his truck.
