A child called 9-1-1 just before 6 pm to say she’d run away from home due to her mother’s abuse. She said she would wait for officers at a friend’s house.
At the same time, the child’s mother flagged down a deputy to say she was looking for her daughter. Officers picked up the child and took her to the mother.

Officers contacted CPS, and workers told them to send the child home with her parents and the agency would follow up at a later date.
