An out-of-control teenager kept officers from multiple agencies busy. Just before 5 pm, officers responded to a report of a 14-year-old who refused to behave.
Officers noted the boy was disrespectful of all adults and trespassed him from a neighbor’s house. They advised the adults to file unruly charges with the juvenile court and warned the child he would be arrested if he returned to the neighbor’s house.
About an hour later, officers received a call indicating the boy was trying to run away. Police took the boy into custody. He put up a fight, kicking the car, and police were forced to restrain him.
Officers contacted Scioto County Juvenile Court, which sent a deputy to handle the child. When the child complained of a head injury, medics transported him to SOMC for treatment. Once the hospital cleared him medically, the child was discharged to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Lawrence County Juvenile Detention Center.
