Deputies were called in when kids failed to mind their parents.
The first call came in around 6:30 pm when a mom said her son was screaming and crying because she grounded him. She told officers she was afraid of him because he was bigger than her.
By the time officers arrived, the child had calmed down. Officers advised the parents of the option to file unruly charges with the court and spoke to the boy about being respectful to his mother.
Deputies were called to another home around the same time after a mom asked someone to talk to her son about cussing at her. Deputies called in a squad to check the child for possible mental health issues, and an ambulance transported him to the hospital.
At 8 pm, a Colony Drive neighbor reported hearing a neighbor cussing and screaming at her child.
When officers arrived at the Wheelersburg apartment, the mom said she and her son were arguing because he didn’t do his homework, and she grounded him from his video games and phone.
The boy admitted to officers he yelled at his mother, but said she yelled at him first. Officers reminded the child that it’s important to be respectful to adults, even if they yell first.
